This pattern is based on a chunky and sturdy rectangular wire jump ring. Building a chain with such a strong jump ring is bound to result in a winner for men.

If you already make your own jump rings, these rectangular wire jump rings are very easy to make with the Coiling Clamping Jig. This jig helps hold the wire during coiling.

Alternate jump rings that use standard wire sizes are specified in this pattern if sourcing this special jump ring is difficult.

Butterfly07 Chainmaille Jewelry Pattern

Butterfly07 is a totally fresh new butterfly pattern for 2007.  I came up with one in 2005 and skipped right over 2006 (probably due to not stopping and smelling the flowers enough).   It is so simple and easy to make I can’t post a picture here or I will give it away.  One look at the design and you will realize what I am saying.  If you don’t want to work on a complex chain, this is for you. Of course, certain implementations of this chain could be complex.  If you want something simple and elegant this is for you.  All patterns are fully refundable should you find it is not to your liking in any way.

HP 3 in 1

Half Persian 3 in 1

Half Persian is a great non-stop chain. I like the way it seems to undulate like waves. It has a great interlocking pattern that is simple at first sight. I went through several steps to make this simple for you. I eliminated the "hard ways" so as to leave you with the simple method. Add this to your jewelry and get simple texture that just won't quit.

Full Persian 6-in-1

Persian can take many forms.  It is described here as full Persian 6 in 1 due to the ring engagement.  Each ring has 6 other rings intersecting it. The ring ratio is rather large due to the way the rings interweave.  This means the ring inside diameter is large in relation to the wire diameter

If you are particular to thick wire gages (16 gauge and above), Persian will result in a large, chunky chain.  For example:  if you prefer 16 gauge wire for Persian, the ID would need to be 8mm which yields a 10mm outside diameter chain.  This is on the hefty side but perhaps what you are after.

Jens Pind 6-in-1

Jens Pind 6-in-1 is an intricate pattern.  It has intriguing symmetry that never ceases to amaze the eye.  Compared to Jens Pind 4-in-1 which has three overlapping rows interwoven, Jens Pind 6-in-1 has four overlapping rows interwoven.  With each ring intersecting 6 other rings, Jens Pind 6-in-1 is extremely strong, very flexible and has a dense internal structure.  The longer your chain gets, the more intriguing the texture becomes and the more thrilled you will be to finish your fine piece of chainmaille. Learn how to do it with the PDF instruction downloadable pattern.

Jens Pind 4-in-1

Jens Pind 4-in-1 is a fabulous pattern.  Parallel series of rings are interwoven three times to make up Jens Pind 4-in-1; as a result it is quite strong and flexible.  If you like the Celtic style you will like Jens Pind 4-in-1. With large rings it can look really chunky and with smaller rings it looks very delicate and fine.
